Short Bio

Hakan Yıldırım has a Turkish-Crimean Tatar origin and he was born in one of the Tatar diaspora, Eskisehir, Turkey. He is an experienced lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. He is skilled in mobile learning, e-learning and instructional design. He is working as the head of the computer programming department in Sivrihisar Vocational School, Eskisehir Osmangazi University. At the same time, he is a member of the Center for Distance Education of the same university. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate working under the guidance of Prof. Gülsün Meriç at Anadolu University which is the fourth largest university in the world by more than 2 million students. For his dissertation, he is working on "blockchain in open and distance education". His research interests include blockchain technology, human-computer interaction and learning management systems.
